According to United Democratic Alliance National Chairman Johnstone Muthama , no coalition Agreement has been signed between the three parties. While speaking to the press, Muthama declared that ,as the chairman,he has no signed or proceeded the signing of any coalition agreement.
He went on to indicate that all the three parties namely UDA,ANC and Ford Kenya have been working together as allies. ANC and Ford Kenya joined the Wheelbarrow party on 23rd of January 2022. the principals of this parties jumped ship from One Kenya Alliance and formed the Kenya Kwanza alliance. the alliance has caused political jitters in the country.
There has been some media reports indicating that Ruto,Mudavadi and Wetangula joined the the Kenya Kwanza alliance through an agreement. However Muthama went on the record to refute this reports.
Muthama statements echoed those of Secretary General Veronica Maina who also dismissed the media reports as fake news and propaganda. With ANC and Ford Kenya joining UDA, this has caused some commotion in the hustler nation brigade. As to who will be chosen as the favourable running mate of Deputy President William Ruto.
Running Mate
Some senior leaders from the mountain region have been fronting Kiharu Member of Parliament as a possible running mate. If Ndindi Nyoro is chosen, then there might be some political fallout from the ANC and Ford Kenya side.
Musalia Mudavadi presidential Launch,OKA in shambles
Although the details of their cooperation are not clear nor public. political pundits expect that the DP will appoint or chose Mudavadi to be his running mate.
While addressing the press Muthama indicated that, there will be time for a coalition agreement but for now all three leaders are working just as friends and allies.
Eventually most of this questions will be addressed after the Murang’a declaration where Ruto is expected to make a huge political statement. The event will be held on the 6th of February 2022.
