Kenyan singer Otile Brown has shared details of his rift with fellow singer Jovial, stating that he would not want her to attend his funeral if he dies. The musician said this during an interview with popular personality Tony Mwirigi on the Over 1M Podcast on Tuesday, 22 nd September 2026.

“I don’t think there is a way forward for us, I mean where it has reached between me and Jovial, she’s somebody that today I dare to say that even if I die today, Jovial is someone who should not be allowed at my funeral”, “That’s how deep she hurt me”,

Otile and Jovial had been working together on songs before the rift occurred. They were one of the leading singing couples in the music industry. However, their relationship started to deteriorate after a heated argument over the release of Ulinihukumu . Otile claimed that the track was released without his consent. There were also rumors of a financial disagreement over the track, with each party claiming that they deserve royalties for the composition. Furthermore, the disagreement turned into a personal one after Otile accused Jovial of taking a DNA test during the argument. It is worth noting that some of the allegations might be misunderstood or misconstrued.
