Kenyans have been treated to tales of how house-helps or housemaid treat or react after gaining employment. Some maids have even seduced the husband of the home they work in. Today icon news looks at the tales of how housemaid have terriozed their women bosses.
A lady called Mercy has come out to share how she paid for her househelp’s education, but she ended up sleeping with her husband Joseph. The Mother of three who is a Secondary school teacher says after giving birth to her second child, she saw the need to have a house-helps and through her village childhood friend back in Nyamira she was connected to Martha who took up the job.

She says Martha was extremely nice and bonded well with her children so she decided to empower her and since she was a form four leaver with Grade C- she enrolled her for a secretarial course within. “I decided to empower her and treated her just like my sister, I helped her finish up a secretarial course and even got her something to do, she felt she needed to start her own life thereafter and I was happy for her so I released her,” Mercy said.
Husband Snatcher
Mercy was so shocked to discover that Martha was having an affair with her husband, Joseph. “A friend told me she had spotted my husband’s car parked somewhere at night and it was a woman’s house, so I investigated and discovered the woman in question was our former househelp, Martha. I confronted him and he told me on my face he had married her as the second wife and If I was uncomfortable, I was free to pack and leave,” she added.
Her husband started spending days away from home and things turned ugly in their marriage. However, a colleague at work who felt concerned connected her with native doctor Mwikali Kilonzo a relationship expert.
“I shared with Carol what I was going through and she felt it, so akasema anipeleke mahali, I was reluctant at first but I chose to try, few days later after we went to Kilonzo walichapana huko, wakarushiana vitu nje and he came back home,” she said.
