Post by : Hillary Musyoki

Chris Mosioma alias Embarambamba the gospel singer who has caused an uproar on social media through his videos where he has appeared wearing dresses and a skirt has responded  to the nation claiming that he is not battling mental issues.

During an interview with Nation, Embarambamba said his comedy is infused with music, all aimed at attracting more followers to his side and also a way of earning earning him a living.

‘Some have implied to the fact that I have joined the LGBTQ+ community with my latest antics. No I haven’t. This is just comedy and music and that is my style.”

“Wearing dresses is not a bad thing. That is my way of selling my content. We are in a digital era and we have to be creative to sell out there. Those asking why I am invited to different church functions don’t understand that we are all worshipping God in our own different ways.”

The gospel singer has been the center of ridicule from a majority of social media users, some even saying he is an embarrassment to the Kisii community.

However he denied it, saying that comedy comes in different ways and this is his style.

“I’m not embarrassing the Kisii people. Those who know me know that I am trying to put food on the table and also worship God. Of course kisii men don’t war dresses but this is just acting,” he said.

Embarambamba became famous when videos of him rolling in mud in colored suits  started emerging online.
