Are your running shoes ready? as Nairobi City Marathon happens on July 2.
The Moja Expressway Company has announced the temporary closure of the expressway on Saturday and Sunday.
Ina statement, the company said the closure will be done to allow the Marathon to take place.
“Please note that the Nairobi Expressway will be temporarily closed from Saturday July 1,2023 at 10pm to Sunday, July 2,2023 at 4Pm as we host the 2nd edition of the Nairobi City Marathon,” the notice read.
With the marathon taking place on July 2, motorists have been advised to plan their journey on the said dates.
“We kindly request all motorist and commuters to plan their journeys accordingly.”
The marathon was scheduled for May 21 but was canceled and scheduled to July 2, following a clash with another charity race that was happening the same day.
During last years marathon, Brimin Misoi and Agnes Barsosio challenged the chilly weather and managed to bag six million winning prize money.
