The jubilee party Mathare mp candidate Bahati could not hide his Joy , after appearing on the IEBC gazetted list of those who will contend for the various political sets.
Bahati took to his Instagram ,posted an image of his name appearing on the gazette and captioned.
“When Jesus say yes..Nobody can say no!! i have been the most fought Mp candidate .My loosing opponent tried everything to threaten me and make sure i don’t step down…but look at what God has done!! its official IEBC has gazetted me…”
This comes after the singer Bahati had been urged to drop his parliamentary seat ,to pave way for Anthony Oluoch an ODM candidate.
“Zoning was done perfectly even here in Mathare we have agreed that it’s an ODM zone. We only have one candidate in Mathare and that is Oluoch, this young man called Bahati is my younger brother and we will talk. I will make sure that we find him another position within the Azimio government,” Sifuna had earlier stated.
Bahati claimed that he has even been offered ksh 50 million to step down as a candidate of Mathare North seat.In response The Nairobi Senatorial aspirant , Edwin Sifuna said that no one can waste such an amount of money to bribing someone to step down.
The singer was thankful to his supporters for backing him through out the first half of the journey. Bahati will contend under the jubilee ticket.
