Afrika Mashariki Transport Awards is the first of its kind in Kenya and East Africa, celebrating excellence in the transport industry.Kenya National Highway Authority (KENHA) proudly announced that The Expressway was awarded the best road transport infrastructure of the year.
Moja Expressway thanked kenyans for their support . Moja Expressway is a subsidiary of China Road and Bridge Corporation, will manage the expressway for 27 years, to recoup the money spent on construction, through toll fees.
The second runners up position was grabbed by the virtual weighbridge as the best Innovation Technology in Transport category.
Matatus will not be authorised to use The Express Way
Super Metro was not left behind either , as it was awarded the best matatu Sacco of the year.The reward for the best driver and conductor was presented to Nicholas Wanjiru and Peter Kitaranya respectively, Who are both super metro staffs.
