Post by : Sue Njihia

Following the previous incidents that have injured and claimed the lives if motorists , the government has banned matatus from using The Nairobi Express way. This has come days after an Embassava Sacco matatu crashed into a toll station and overturned with over 20 passengers inside.

Ever since The Express Way was launched ,ranges of occurrences such as accidents have been experienced which involved commercial  passenger vehicles  ,said James Macharia , Transport Cabinet Secretary.

To avoid such unfortunate events from reoccurring ,the government has put in place new measures to ensure the welfare of those who will be using The Express Way.

GRUESOME MURDERS IN NAIVASHA CONTINUES

They include rumble strips ; a set of grooves along the edge of a highway or across a road that cause noise and shaking when they are driven over and that are used to warn drivers that they need to slow down or are too close to the edge of the road.

Traffic police will also be put on duty at different toll stations and  other different locations.
