A beam of hope for Sonko as high court orders IEBC on ballot printing

Mombasa gubernatorial hopeful and Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has a reason to smile after a three bench judge sitting in Mombasa issued interim orders to the IEBC and the Wiper party.

The three bench judge ordered the IEBC  to stop the printing of ballot papers until a case filled by the flamboyant politician was heard and determined.

Sonko is seeking to overturn the decision of the IEBC’s Dispute and resolution committee which barred him from vying. The three bench Judge led by Justice Olga Sewe, Ann Ongi’injo’ and S. Githinji also issued orders to the Wiper party barring them from appointing any other person  to replace Sonko.

The IEBC was ordered not to publish the names of the other 6 gubernatorial candidates in the race until the case was heard and determined.

The three bench had been appointed by Chief Justice Martha Koome to hear and determine the Case. According to sources near Sonko that Spoke to https://www.iconnews.co.ke .The former governor is very optimistic  that he will be allowed in the race.

According to a popular Twitter columnist by the twitter handle @asmali77. “Sonko will be in the ballot and he will be the next Governor of Mombasa”.
