Vote for your own, Mwangi Wa Iria urges Mount Kenya Voters

Mwangi wa Iria murang'a Governor who is also vying for the presidential seat in the upcoming General elections.

Outspoken Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria has urged the residents of Mount Kenya Region to only vote for a native of the region in the incoming General elections.

Mwangi who is vying for the presidential seat declared this during  an event that was held in Ihura stadium Murang’a County. Wa Iria has been the governor for Murang’a for two terms now and he has been hit by controversy, with him being impeached during his first term.

At the event Mwangi declared that he only needs the 8 million votes from mount Kenya region and he would beat both Deputy President William Ruto and ODM party Leader Raila Odinga pants down.

The mount Kenya region has been a constant player in the national political scene having produced three presidents and a heavy number of cabinet secretaries. the Region seems like it will not be at the helm of political scene in the next general election due to lack of a strong political leader.

During the press address at Ihura Stadium Wa Iria dared the people of Mount Kenya saying that if they don’t vote for him they will be cursed. He further indicated that the region needs to vote as one since they have to protect their own interests.
