Twitter’s CEO Elon Musk Reveals He’s Found A new CEO

On Thursday, Twitter’s head Elon Musk revealed that he found a new CEO to take over the company, months after he promised to step back from the role.

The new CEO will take over the company, which recently changed its name to X Corp, in  the coming weeks, Elon Musk said.

The CEO hinted out about the new CEO but he did not reveal the name.

However, the Wall Street Journal reported that Linda Yaccarino NBCUniversal’s head of advertising was in talks with the company.

“Excited to announce that I’ve a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in 6 weeks!” Must Tweeted.

Elon Musk, who has had a tumulus reign since buying the company in October, announced that he will become Twitter’s executive chair and the chief technology officer, overseeing product, software and system operations.

The Poll

In December, 2022, Elon Musk run a poll on the platform asking users whether he should quit being Twitter CEO, which ended with the majority of users voting for him to quit. Musk said he should respect the poll but he later backtracked, saying he would hand over the role “as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job!”.

In February 2023,he announced that he planned to find a replacement by the end of the year.

As Musk continues to act as the CEO he has faced disapproval for a series of policy changes at Twitter, which come without clear justification and raised concerns about the impact on Twitter’s users.

Must has been trying to convince advertisers to rejoin the platform after many fled over concerns about hateful conduct on the platform, Twitter’s mass layoffs raised concerns about the company’s feature.

He has also been trying to sell users on a new paid subscription platform, that includes the ability to pay for a verification check.

The CEO who owns numerous other companies, including Tesla, which he has also faced critisism from Tesla’s shareholders whom are concerned that he is distracted by Twitter.

As he steps down as the CEO, he will likely maintain signifant control over the future directions of the company.
