Maina Kamanda has indicated that President Uhuru kenyatta will  start campaigns in mount Kenya region very soon. Maina made the remarks while he was speaking at a local vernacular radio. in his statements Kamanda indicated that the president will soon start to campaign for azimio very soon.

Kamanda is a staunch follower of president Uhuru and a staunch member of the kieleweke brigade. the brigade has been pressuring the president to start campaigning for their candidate in the region. This pressure is being enforced since the kieleweke side has been losing popularity in the mount Kenya region.

While the president hails from the region, some lawmakers believe that it is bad that the region is not behind the president’s choice. According to Kamanda,the president will seek to undo what Deputy President William Ruto has done to the region.

Ruto through his United Democratic Alliance is seen as the preferred candidate by the mount Kenya region and his popularity has continued to grow. it seems as if the main goal of this new campaign will be to try and diminish Ruto’s fame.

Remarks

While this remarks haven’t been supported by statehouse, it is still immature to speculate on the actions of the president. President Uhuru has of late being under a tight schedule after receiving the president of Hungary for an Official State visit of  four days.

According to many political commentators the president is rushing against time to ensure that he completes at least most of the projects he started. The jubilee government has embarked on multiple projects that are set to change the image of the country in general.
