Peter Kanaiya appointed new Posta Board chairman

The Postal Corporation of Kenya (PCK) has appointed Mr Peter Kanaiya as the new chairman of its board of directors for a period of three years.This comes after the death of the former Board chairman Njoroge Nani Mungai who passed on this year January.

Kanaiya’s appointment was announced via a Gazette No 8267 of July 15, 2022 by the  Cabinet Secretary for ICT,Innovation and Youth Affairs Joe Mucheru.

“By embracing ICT and cutting-edge technology, PCK will hopefully get back to its glory days as the preferred logistics partner in Kenya,” Kanaiya said.

According to wikipedia The Postal Corporation of Kenya is the company responsible for postal service in Kenya. It is also known as Posta Kenya. Kenyan post system was formerly part of the Kenya Post & Telecommunication Corporation, which was split into Posta, the Communication Commission of Kenya and Telkom Kenya in 1999.

Kanaiya is an accomplished corporate executive with over fifteen years of experience in ICT development and data management consultancy.

He has previously served as a board member of several state corporations, including the Betting Control and Licensing Board.
