People are begging me to be President: Raila Claims

The Orange Democratic Movement party leader has claimed that the Kenyan people are begging him to be their fifth president. Odinga who has not yet declared his bid officially has been going around the country in a call for unity.

Under the Azimio la umoja call, Raila has been going around the country advocating for unity and peace. The former premier has come under fire from a section of politicians, who have accused him of early campaigns. However Odinga dismissed the claims saying that he is only sensitising Kenyans on the need for peace ahead of the 2022 elections.

In tour of various regions of the country, Odinga claims that Kenyans have begged him to be their fifth president. During the international aids day, the president was seen to endorse the former premier, although he didn’t do it directly.

Raila has been accused by UDA supporters as being a state project with  some members saying that his presidential bid will fail completely.  Raila has been seen to pull major crowds of people especially in his political background.

In other areas the former premier has been seen accompanied by a few governors especially in the mount Kenya region.
