The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced a major recruitment drive targeting 20,000 teachers to be posted in Junior Secondary Schools. This move comes as the commission seeks to address the teacher-student ratio imbalance exacerbated by the full implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

TSC CEO Nancy Macharia noted that the recruitment will prioritize unemployed graduates and those who have been serving as interns in various schools.
