Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi has denied the claims from his Member of the County who accused him of sideling them in the distribution of bursaries in their wards.
The MCAs invaded the governors office on Monday morning , demanding that he quickened up the disbursement of bursaries to them for them to help the needy cases in their wards.
Additionally, the MCAs labelled his leadership style oppressive accusing the governor of misusing his office to benefit his foundation.
The governor has denied such claims of him with holding bursaries, saying the squabble being witnessed in the county are just small issues” teething problems.
“A governor cannot fail to give to give bursary because it is mentioned in the law. Besides that, the country has a law as far as how much the bursary fund is supposed to be dispensed and the methodology, he said.
“Those are teething problems within a new county government because we have a new administration,” he added.
According to the governor the MCAs are first time ward representatives who are yet to understand the ups and downs of how politics works.
The MCAs on Monday wanted to know if the governor would listen to him or they had to take drastic measures to get his attention.
In 2022, the governor said that his life was in danger and that some people were after his head when he addressed members of Gatundu south church telling them to pray for him.
