The body of ex-treasury official Tom Mokaya who was reported missing on Sunday June 18,2023, has been found.
Confirming the incident, police say, Tom Mokaya’s decomposing body was found in river Kuja in Migori.
The ex-treasury was reported missing a few days before his vehicle a land cruiser V8, whose number plate had been removed, was found dumped in Kilgoris, Transmara.
At the time, Tom , was travelling from his home in Ngata farm, Nakuru en-route to Kisii.
The vehicle was found by Police officers on Thursday, June 22,2023, in the afternoon following a tipoff from the public and was identified by the deceased son Stephen Mokaya.
“Stephen Mokaya , who is Mokaya’s son identified that the vehicle belongs to his father,” the Transmara sub-county commander said noting that it was vandalized, with the battery and radio missing.
Tom Mokaya was a businessman , he left the Treasury in 2010.
He brother of the late Ambassador Keny Nyaucho Osinde.
