A man is in police custody in Kakamega county after he allegedly put an end to his brothers life over  a plate of Omena.

The two siblings were having a meal at their mothers house where the exchange of words led to a serious brawl between them

Albert Adama and John Kilibua had disagreed over a portion of the food .Adamba overpowered Kilibwa ,he hit him until he sustained injuries. Kilibwa was rushed to the hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival.

”It is a sad state of affairs , given that they fought at their mothers hose at their age . We now have a mountain out of a small mater ,” Jimmy Ngwayumba a village elder said.

The suspect is being held at Likuyani Police station awaiting arraignment.
