A Kenya Defence Officer is now in the custody of the military police after opening fire at a bodaboda rider.The KDF soldier had hid behind the estate’s gate , awaiting his daughters arrival.
As she was about to pay the boda boda rider ,the KDF soldier emerged from the gate , pounced on the girl and gave her a beating.He then pulled out a fire arm and fired at the bodaboda rider ,who narrowly escaped death.
After the bodaboda rider had escaped from the scene ,he immediately reported the matter the Syokiamu police station, who responded speedily.He narrated that he was an online operator in Nairobi ,who had received a ride request from a client.
“Our officers responded swiftly. They established that the man was a military doctor who was armed with a Glock pistol and 42 9mm bullets, Detectives also seized 2 rounds of 9mm calibre,” DCI said.
The KDF soldier has been handed over to the military police who will deal with him in line with military discipline.
