Steve jobs ‘worn out’ sandals have been auctioned and sold for 27million($220,000).
On sunday, Julien’s Auctions , auctioned the Brown Suede Birken stocks in New York City.
According to the auction house, the sandals were worn in the 1970’s and 1980’s during “many pivotal moments in Apples history.”
“The Cork and Jute footed retains the imprint of Steve jobs feet which had been shaped after years of use,”the auction house said on its website.
Though the sandals were expected to bring (7.3 million) the final sale price with an NFT which was ($218,750) Julien’s house said.
The auction house kept the uyer anonymus and said its the highest pric ever paid for a pair of sandals
Jobs and Steve Wozniak co-founded apple in the 1976 at jobs parent house in Los Altos, California. It was later made an historical site in 2013.
Jobs died in 2011 from pancreatic cancer. Other items associated with him fetched a big amount at auctions in recent years. Like an apple computer prototypewhich sold nearly (83 Milion).
Futhermore in 2021, Micheal Jordan’s Nike Air Ships, which he wore in 1984, were sold for 179 million and black nikes worn by Kanye in 2008 were sold at 219 million.
Lastly, at the same year, a dress worn by british singer Amy Winehouse was auctioned at 27.1 million.
