2022 General Elections pits the Young versus the Old

In a recent turn of events, the 2022 general elections have gained traction as young politicians join the political scene. This is quite a change from the normal situation where only the old vie for political sits. a good number of the aspiring politicians are young men and women who are between the ages of 20 and 30.

To lead by example a young man in his late twenties early thirties is seeking to unseat Popular Kiharu Mp Ndindi Nyoro. Dennis Maina is a decorated commercial pilot who has the ladies in the constituency salivating. Another youthful politician who has gained fame is Gloria an women representative aspirant  from Meru.

Another youthful leader who has been in the national talk is the aspirant for Kajiado north parliamentary seat. She is determined to clinch the seat using the UDA party ticket. It is now clear that the next parliament will be have triple the number of youthful leaders.

In the county assembly politics this is where majority of the youths have landed. Most of this aspiring leaders are trying to use the MCA platform in order to advance their political career. As everything in life, no one can give you anything but you have to work hard and smart to earn it.

This young leaders are creating a tsunami within the country that will felt for the next 10 to 20 years. They are moving to push out the old generation of politicians whom they claim have  not been performing.

Momentum

This Political  onslaught by the youth gained momentum after the 2017 general election when a handful of youthful politicians won major seats. Youthful leaders won seats in the governor’s position, the senate, National assembly and a good number in the county assembly.

The 2022 general elections will surely form a launching pad for most of this politicians. Whether they win or not most of them will get government appointments either in the National or county governments.
