The government has announced a revision of the New Higher Education Funding Model to ensure that students from the most vulnerable backgrounds receive 100% scholarship and loan coverage. The changes follow recommendations from a task force that reviewed the initial roll-out of the model.

Under the new structure, the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) will work closely with universities to identify and support students who are unable to raise any tuition fees.
