The Ministry of Education has released a comprehensive framework for the transition of learners to Grade 9 in 2026. Education CS Migos Ogamba stated that the government has completed the construction of 15,000 new classrooms across the country to accommodate the pioneer CBC class.

‘We are making every effort to ensure a seamless transition for our children. The capitation for Junior School students has also been increased to support the acquisition of learning materials,’ said the CS.
