Safaricom Ethiopia has reached a major milestone of 15 million active subscribers as of March 2026, marking a rapid expansion in the Horn of Africa.

The company announced plans to further invest $500 million in network infrastructure to reach underserved regions and deepen digital financial service penetration through M-PESA.
