Tanzanian music stars Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu were discharged from hospital in a high-profile homecoming that drew widespread attention across East Africa, with a convoy of luxury vehicles escorting the couple and their newborn daughter to their residence.

Videos shared on social media showed dozens of high-end vehicles accompanying the couple after they left the hospital, with entertainment media reporting that the procession comprised more than 50 luxury vehicles. While the exact number of vehicles has not been officially confirmed, footage circulating online shows a lengthy convoy travelling with the family.

The couple’s departure from hospital came just days after they announced the birth of their first child together, a baby girl, marking a significant milestone in their widely followed relationship.

Diamond, whose real name is Nasibu Abdul Juma Issack, and Zuchu, born Zuhura Othman Soud, were seen leaving the medical facility carrying their newborn before joining the convoy that escorted them home. The procession attracted crowds along sections of the route, with supporters recording videos and congratulating the couple.

The celebrations followed an outpouring of goodwill from fans, fellow musicians and close associates, many of whom visited the couple after the birth to offer gifts and congratulations.

Announcing the arrival of their daughter, Diamond shared a heartfelt message on social media welcoming the newest member of their family, while Zuchu also expressed gratitude for the support she received during her pregnancy and delivery.

The birth comes months after the pair publicly reaffirmed their relationship following periods of speculation over their status. In the days leading up to the delivery, Diamond hosted a lavish baby shower for Zuchu, where he publicly celebrated the singer and expressed excitement about becoming a father with her.

The hospital discharge and convoy have since dominated entertainment discussions across the region, with many fans praising the couple’s celebration while others debated the scale of the motorcade. Videos of the procession have been widely shared on social media platforms, attracting millions of views and thousands of congratulatory messages.

Although several entertainment outlets reported that more than 50 luxury vehicles participated in the escort, neither Diamond nor Zuchu has publicly confirmed the exact size of the convoy. However, publicly available footage verifies that a substantial number of vehicles accompanied the family during the journey home.

The latest development adds to what has been one of the most closely followed celebrity stories in East Africa this year, with the birth of the couple’s daughter generating significant public interest in Tanzania, Kenya and beyond.
