A shift in Political dynamics is looming in ukambani as the United Democratic Alliance gains popularity in the region. The UDA party Leader Deputy president has expressed his desire to lead the country as the fifth president.

This week he is in the ukambani region popularising his bid. while addressing the residents of ukambani , the DP urged them not to vote for the Azimio la Umoja candidate as he has taken them for a ride. The DP claimed that Raila has been using the region to advance his own political interest.

While addressing the residents of Kitui, The Deputy president indicated that Raila has been un-loyal to Ukambani people and their leader Kalonzo Musyoka. It is now in the public domain that the NASA agreement compels Raila to back Kalonzo for the presidency.

However, The former Premier has since renegade on the agreement and even went ahead to leave the NASA coalition. Kalonzo on his part has been forced by circumstances to join the Azimio team. He however insists that he will only campaign for Raila once he is named as the Running mate for the Azimio candidate.

Flag Bearer

Currently the UDA party has a number of aspirants who are seeking to fry the party’s flag in the next general election. Top among them include UDA chairman Johnstone Muthama who is gunning for the Machakos Governor’s Seat. Former Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke who is gunning for the Kitui Governor’s seat.

During his campaign tour of the lower eastern region the DP indicated that the UDA party is a National party that reflects and represents the wishes of the people. The DP asked the people of ukambani to vote for UDA candidates as they are better poised to lead them.
