Penninah Malonza is a happy woman after receiving the nod from parliament today. The tourism and Wildlife cabinet secretary Nominee has been saved by the National assembly. According to a report tabled by the vetting committee the Tourism Nominee had been rejected by the committee in an unanimous vote. After the report was officially tabled in the assembly, the members of parliament debated the report and amendments were made. One of the key beneficially was Penninah who was saved by the whole house.

Others whose fate was also secured were the cabinet nominees for agriculture and public service. The two nominees had been questioned about their existing court cases with the nominee for agriculture indicating the number of cases he has. Mithika Linturi, Nominee for agriculture has over 35 civil cases that are ongoing.

Once they are approved by parliament, the nominee are expected to be sworn in. They pledge their allegiance and faithfulness to the president and to the people of Kenya. Most swearing in ceremonies for the Cabinet secretaries happens in State House. Kenyans are therefore expecting that the Nominees will be sworn in within the week.

The Ruto administration has been operating with the previous cabinet secretaries. This has led to some senior politicians indicating that the outgoing cabinet secretaries have divided royalties. Currently both the senate and the National assembly will be engaged in the vetting process of Principal secretaries. This is expected to take almost a month.

Inspector general of police nominee Japheth Koome is expected to face committee of the senate on 8th November 2022. The committee are expected to determine his worthiness and readiness to handle the critical police docket.
