The Kenya Kwanza team has accused The interior cabinet secretary  Matiang’i of being biased with the deployment of security personnel. In his defence The CS denied claims that he was being partial in deploying security.

“The law states that we should focus on the presidential candidates, however, we are even willing to offer security to county assembly aspirants.I have not seen any person who is not protected and if there is anyone who thinks that they are not protected and needs to be protected, I am willing to listen to them even at night. Let us forget about the propaganda being spread out there,” he stated.

The CS also stated evidence should be presented by the Kenya Kwanza team  showing that he has been biased in doing his work, as they have accused him of being one- sided in allocating security team.

“We have been meeting with the chiefs on several occasions and what we discuss surrounds security. There is no day we have met with them to discuss politics. Our work is to ensure that there is security for everyone.Even when you ask them to prove their claims, they do not have any evidence. I have not been involved in politics. Don’t government officials also have a right to air their voices?”Matiangi said.
