Priest who allegedly defiled and killed a girl aged 10years in Kamuombo Village, Rangwe sub-county in Homa Bay 2 weeks ago, has been arrested.
A man who is expected to be “righteous”, defiled and killed a minor. Has been arrested at his hideout in Suna East, Migori County.
Migori police commander Mark Wanjala reported that the suspect was dressed in church attire, and was arrested by police officers following a tip-off from members of public.
According to Wanjala, the priest who has been on the run for 2 weeks went to a church in the region to seek refuge.
The suspect was handed over to Criminal Investigation officers in Homa Bay.

Additionally, Police reports state that, the suspect allegedly visited the region to offer prayers to a family.
The minors relative reported that the 10-year old had been sent to return a bucket they had borrowed from a neighbor where she found the priest.
The priest followed her, assaulted and strangled her in the maize plantation.
Lastly, it was a passerby who raised the alarm. The minor was rushed to a nearby hospital but died while undergoing treatment.
