A 28-year old man, was arraigned at the Malindi Law court for sexually abusing minors.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI), Patrick Mbauni alias Pat ARV has been harbouring four boys aged between 10 and 12 in his house in Malindi.
Pat ARV was arrested on wednesday January 11, 2023 after detectives based at the DCI Academy interceptted disturbing content online,portraying the man abusing the young boys.
The detectives established that the suspected paedophile runs a football foundation in Malindi, which he has been using to attract innocent minors before engaging them in the beastly act.
“Medical tests later confired that two of the minors had been sexually abused,” DCI said in a statement.
Mr. Mbauni was arraigned before Malindi Chief Magistrate Elizabeth Osui and was charged with two counts of defilemnt, four counts of child pornography and four counts of child trafficking.
He denied all charges presented before him.
The magistrate, directed that the suspect be held until February 7 when he will be presented in courtfor a pre-bailing case.
DCI’s Child Protection Unit has been on a high track as it intesifies the war against sexual abuse among minors.
Suspect On the Run
In June last year, the DCI Child Protection Unit, extradited a Kenyan national wanted in the United Kingdom for sexual abuse to answer for his charges.
Anthony Kamau aka Anthony Kinuthia Kamau had been on the run after jumping bailin the United Kingdom.
The DCI said that Kamau was wanted at the Chelmsford Crown Court of Great Britain and Northern Ireland , to answer to the charges of sexual harrasment of minors.
The paedophile Mr. Kamau, is reported to have sexually assaulted underage girls within an 11-year period from 2005.
Anthony was also charged with four counts of engaging in a non-penetrative sexual activity with one girl and another count of inciting an underage girl to perform a sexual act.
