No Easy Road for CS nominees as Azimio vows to derail process

Azimio Leaders led by Wiper party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka during a recent press conference at the SKM centre. The leaders threatened to derail the vetting of CS nominees.

The recent,Cabinet Secretary,CS nominees named by the president as expected to vetted by parliament. The CS nominees are going to have a very tough time before the committee if statements made by wiper hold any water. Azimio allied MPs led by Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka have declared that the appointees will have a hard time.

According to Azimio side, some of the CS nominees don’t qualify to have even their names mentioned in public. The leaders who were giving a press statement today indicated that they would ensure that every nominee satisfies the requirements of Chapter six. Chapter six of the constitution provides guidelines on what is expected of a state and public officer in Kenya. The chapter is backbone of all the vetting done by parliament.

Due to this statements, Kenyans are being advised to hold on much longer as the process might be derailed for political reasons. This process is expected to pit the numbers game. Azimio has been claiming that they have numbers in all elected positions. However ,the coalition has been losing on all election that would signify that they have the numbers they claim.

The coalition lost its chance for both the speakers position. This was attributed to the fact that most parties in Azimio were forced to join the coalition. During its formation Azimio was characterised as the popular side. However,according to the deputy president all parties who joined did so to avoid false prosecution as was witnessed early these year.
