A Nairobi based woman was arraighned at thethe Milimani’s small claims court after she decided to ‘eat’ money sent to her by her boyfriend.
The woman was received ksh3,000 , which was meant to be transport money.The boyfriend was hosting a birthday party and wanted her to attend, She instead switched off her phone,immediately after receiving the money.
The boyfriend sued her at the Milimani small claims courts and the court ordered her to return the money and a bonus for the emotional damaged she has caused. the boyfriend in question will receive Kshs23, 750 from her.
“The lady was ordered to refund the man Kshs 3,000 plus interest of Kshs 750 and a further Kshs 20,000 in damages for the emotional anguish he went through,” read a statement going viral on social media.
The man presented evidences o Mpesa statements and whatsapp conversation before and after he sent the money.The woman was quite displeased with the ruling as she ended up cursing he judge.
“Kumbe siku hizi dame akila fare yako you can take her to court for your money to be refunded plus interest. Just seen this story which happened jana. Hii ingekuwa zamani ningeweka ndani over 5000 chicks,” ex governor Mike Sonko said.
