Deputy President William Ruto United Democratic Movement has published its Nomination charges. The party through its social media pages have announced the amounts required for various posts.
All candidates seeking Nomination for the presidential position will have to part with one million shillings for all male contestants. All female and youth contestants will part with Kshs 500,000. The United Democratic Movement party seems to booster its motto by favouring women and youths who they claim have been Marginalised for years.
Male candidates who are eyeing the gubernatorial position will have to part with over 500,000 shillings while Youthful and women candidates will have to part with half. Under the governors category UDA has lined up a fiery group of women contestants who all gunning for this jobs. Some of this leaders include Anne Waiguru of Kirinyaga, Bishop Margaret of Nairobi, Susan Kihika of Nakuru. Aisha Jumwa of Kilifi among others.
In the women representative position contestants will part with 250,000 expect for the youthful contestants will part with 125,000. In the Senatorial position the party has also favoured Women and Youths as they are to part with 125,000. Their male counterparts will part with over 250,000.
Male contestants in the parliamentary position will also part with 250,000 while their female and youthful counterparts part with half the amount. For the MCA position the same applies with male candidates parting with 50,000 and women and youths parting with 25,000.
In documents obtained by https://iconnews.co.ke the party has decided on this charges in a bid to level the playing field.
