Kenyan Comedian and content creator, Crazy Kennar has jetted out of the country. The  joke master will be attending EMEA Conference. The conference is being sponsored by META. META is the holding company for Facebook.

Crazy Kennar is among 8 content creators from Africa who have been selected by META.

The content creator took to his Instagram stories on Wednesday to post a video of himself at the airport leaving the country, before adding another one of a layover in Doha, Qatar.

On Thursday evening, he then posted a video of himself presumably in a taxi in London, having already arrived.

Kennar, alongside radio presenter Kwambox, were the only Kenyan content creators selected to attend the event under Meta’s ‘Creators of Tomorrow’ campaign.

The distribution of the African ‘Creators of Tomorrow’ included two from Kenya, Ivory Coast and Senegal, and one each from Uganda, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The aim of the event is to boost the resources of content creators and help them grow their audience.

“We’re committed to helping creators grow their community and make a living on our platforms. As we work toward the Metaverse, our investments aim to empower creators with the cutting-edge tools, education and resources needed to build creative and financial success – now and in the future,” explained Meta previously.

Meta reached out to African content creators because they have creatively used its technologies and applications such as Facebook and Instagram to showcase their talents and abilities to tell African stories to the world.

The event is being hosted for the first time in London at the iconic Tate Britain.
