The outspoken Governor for Nakuru county Lee Kinyanjui haws been in the fore front in championing for the rights and privileges of his people of Nakuru county. the governor has been heard complaining that Nakuru hasn’t had a cabinet minister in the last few decades.

Lee Kinyanjui  seems that he has decided to change this with the formation of a political party that is highly associated with him. the party Citizens Convention Party (CCP) has filed an application with the registrar of political parties to change its name to Ubuntu People’s Forum.

New Party

This new party is highly associated with people who are close to the Nakuru governor. In what can be regarded as a defecation from Kanu, Former Kanu’s youth league leader had declared that he was looking for his new political home after resigning from Kanu.

According to Mr Kenneth Kuria Mbaria who is now the youth league leader for UBF and also a close confidant of Nakuru Governor lee Kinyanjui, Ubuntu Peoples Forum is the new political vehicle that shall support and back the presidential bid of Raila Odinga in the upcoming general elections.

The Declaration 

Mbaria had been quoted earlier saying that he can no join the United Democratic Movement party which is led by Deputy President William Ruto.

In what has been seen by the www.iconnews.co.ke team, Lee Kinyanjui is seeming to hold ground and not decamp to UDA as other Governors and Leaders have been doing in the recent times.

Kinyanjui further stated that  the region has a voting pattern and it doesn’t forget easily as people would like to assume.

Under the leadership of Kinyanjui Nakuru town has achieved the prestigious city status becoming the fourth city in Kenya. Nakuru city is the first to be awarded the city status after the 2010 constitution.
