Vasectomy, a surgical procedure that permanently prevents pregnancy by sealing the tubes that transport a man’s sperms.

Many Men undergo this if they have no desire to have any more kids.

In Kenya the number of men who have undergone vasectomy has increased , double the number in just one year according to the 2023 Economic Survey Report done by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.

According to the report, which examined the use of modern contraceptives in health facilities from 2018 to 2022, the number of men who have undergone vasectomy increased to 557 from 248 in the previous years.

It showed that 334 men had vasectomy procedures in 2020 , a huge decreased from 658 in 2018.

Other contraceptives methods , family planning, remain the most popular method of contraception in 2022, wit 2.6 M choosing it, followed by Implant Insertions.
