A Kenyan Musician Silas Jay has come out clean after being accused of attending a concert as Harmonize. Harmonize is a popular and famous Tanzanian artist who is known for his bongo music. Silas Jay on the other hand is an Afro pop musician based in Kenya. Jay has been likened to Harmonize due to their uncanny resemblance with fans reacting that they might be related.

While speaking with a local entertainment blog. Jay indicated that Kenyans continuously mistake him for the Tanzanian hit maker. He went on further to say that the two of them are almost alike. Silas sets the record straight indicating that he looks up to harmonize. He says that he is impressed with his singing and performance style.

“People usually confuse me with Harmonize and some are referring to me as Harmonize. The Bongo star is one of my role models,” he said.

Silas stated that his childhood life was full of challenges as he faced innumerable odds. According to him, his parents abandoned him at home with his grandparents, and this made life tough for him and his other siblings. This is why he opted to start a career in music but even this was received negatively by his relatives.

Jay, whose famous hit is Wangare Mathai, divulged that his relatives thought he had run mad when he started composing songs and singing at village events. “I started composing songs and performing whenever there were events within my village in Busia. Members of the community and my relatives accused me of running mad and they even conducted prayers for me. I later left my village because of high crime rates and now I’m based in Eldoret,” Jay told us
