There is jubilation among government employed teachers after their employer the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) increased both the maternity and paternity leave days.
According to the TSC CEO Nancy Macharia. The commission decided on the increase of martenity leave as part of the new CBA between the employer and the Unions.

During the pandemic period there was an increase in pregnant women. The number of days for a maternity leave has been increased to 120 days fully paid while the paternity have been increased to 21 days fully paid.
