Post by : Sue Njihia

Independent Electoral and Boundaries Comission(IEBC) has responded to the alleged audio of Junet plotting high levels secret meting with IEBC oficials.

A coording to the IEBC vice chair  Juliana Cherera their no such meting has been arranged and investigations on the clip has been launched.

”As far as I am concerned there is nothing factual about it. We have our ears in the ground and people on social media who have been monitoring what has been happening. It has been shared out in the pool of experts who shall look into that,” Cherera said.

Suna East Member of Parliament (MP) Junet Mohammed took to his social media pages and stated that the audio was a tactic by their competitors to stain their reputation.

“The Hon. Junet Mohamed urges the public to ignore the video, which appears to be one of the last desperate acts of a dying political campaign that has been based on years of lies, innuendoes, mudslinging, arrogance, chest-thumping, name-calling, insults and now-waking up to the reality of a lost election-is on a sympathy seeking spree!” the statement reads in parts.

The IEBC vice chair also dismissed allegations of plans to compromise the KIEMS kits from the warehouses where they were being stored.
