Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has addressed the raging debate over the International Criminal Court, accusing  the opposition party of instigating his prosecution for protecting President William Ruto.

The Deputy president has vowed to remain loyal to his boss, saying that he is not scared and he is ready to present himself before the ICC.

“If you want to forward my name to ICC , you can do so. These Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party don’t understand me…if my boss is in trouble I am equally in trouble. We are like Siamese twins. I have to watch his back,” he said.

Last week, Azimio Leader Raila Odinga through his lawyer Paul Mwangi, sought the intervention of the ICC over the ‘killing and maiming’ of Azimio supporters by police during the antigovernmental protests.

However speaking during the opening of the deputy governors forum in Mombasa, Gachagua said that he would not allow what happened to the President to happen to him.

Azimio also sought the intervention of ICC after an alleged assassination attempt against the Raila Odinga , they ask the court to investigate Kenya Kwanza’s leadership, including the President and Deputy President.
