Always give credit where it is due.Currently all the credit should go to the NMS for trying to make Nairobi a world class city.Their latest endeavour is the turning of garbage into electricity.This type of innovation and initiative will have very huge benefits to the city.

Not a long time ago most streets and lanes in Nairobi were sticking and full of garbage piles. These piles made it impossible to for residents to navigate the town. However after the NMS took over things have changed a bit. The NMS have tried tackling Nairobi’s problems.

However this problems are huge and they need out of the box solutions. Such a solution is the proposed 45 mega watt (MW power plant.The power plant which will be located in the locality of ruai will be Garbage powered. To launch this project City Hall has partnered with Kengen.

According to sources who spoke to https://iconnews.co.ke KenGen is expected to finance,operate and manage the plant whereas the NMS is expected to provide the land. KenGen has on the recent past received recognition from the regional.

The power generating company has positioned itself as a leading power production company in the continent. To this effect the company has secured over 10 contracts from Ethiopia, Djibouti and DRC.

Battle for Uhuru Park as NMS seeks to quash stop order
