Betrayal and Revenge could be felt in the air as Azimio-one Kenya coalition unveiled its Presidential campaign team. Key names and leaders were left out and loyalist rewarded with the appointments.
Among the key names that were missing from the list include Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Kanu Chairman Gideon Moi. The two leaders are party of the One Kenya part of the coalition. In their place, their competitors have been named.
In the lower eastern region/ukambani, Outgoing Makueni Governor has been named to lead the charge to hunt for votes in the region. The ukambani region is considered Kalonzo’s backyard and strong hold.
Kivutha Kibwana has been a fierce critic of the former Vice president. In the Rift valley the coalition has named among others Kanu Secretary General Nick Salat and Stephen Tarus to lead the vote hunt in the region.
This appointments seek to reflect the growing concerns in the coalition party. Kalonzo dashed out the coalition after he failed to clinch the deputy president slot which was dished out to Narc Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua.
Change in UDA nomination dates, as Leaders threaten to withdraw
This appointments came a day after Wiper party aspirants and MPs voted to move wiper and their party leader back to azimio -one Kenya coalition.

The Wiper Boss is out of the country for the week and is expected to jet back to the country. Others who made it to the regional campaign teams are Sabina Chege who is expected to lead the Mount Kenya Team.
The Murang’a Women Representative will be assisted by Agriculture CS Peter Munya and Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui.
This appointments seem to revenge for the Kalonzo withdrawal from the coalition. This move has caused jitters in the coalition as Kalonzo was expected to bring in over 2 million ukambani votes.
